KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Nepal’s skies remain firmly under the monsoon’s sway, with the trough parked near its usual position, the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) reports.
Heavy rainfall forecast in Bagmati, several provinces

By this afternoon, expect a blanket of clouds across much of the country. Moderate showers are on the cards for many parts of the hilly regions, along with scattered rainfall in the Terai of Madhesh Province and other lowland areas. One or two spots in the hilly belts of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki, as well as the Terai stretches of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim, could see heavier downpours.
As night falls, the cloudy mood will linger. Widespread moderate rain is likely in the hilly and Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini, with a chance of showers in select areas of other provinces. Heavy rain could drench isolated pockets of the hilly areas in Koshi Province, along with the Terai belts of Madhesh, Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim, according to the MFD.
