According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold dropped by Rs 1,700 per tola, with the trading price set at Rs 221,300 per tola. On Wednesday, gold had risen by Rs 1,300 per tola, reaching Rs 223,000.

The MoF has stated that the amount can be deposited in the 'Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund' account number 1960100102070004 at the Singha Durbar branch of Rastriya Banijya Bank.

The records with the Department of Customs (DoC) show that the country’s total foreign trade stood at Rs 352.47 billion during the period from mid-July to mid-September this year, up from Rs 287.63 billion in the same period last year.

Citing that large amounts of paper notes were burnt during the Gen Z protests, the central bank said such notes can be exchanged only if they are supported by recommendations from the police and the local administration.
