BIRGUNJ, July 25: Three boys including a minor have been arrested by police on the charge of raping and murdering a four years old girl.
The four-year-old’s body was found on 7AM Saturday, in a bush at Chhapkaiya, Birgunj Metropolis-2, Birgunj. Her Grandfather informed the police that the girl had been missing since July 21.

When the police were investigating the incident after the body was found, they first found the involvement of a 12-year-old boy. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Prahlad Karki, the involvement of three other people was also revealed in the interrogation of the 12-year-old boy. Karki, who is also the spokesperson for the District Police Office, Parsa, said that the girl was killed after gang-rape.
According to the police, after the involvement of four people was revealed in the initial investigation, they were arrested and further investigation was carried out. The perpetrators - the 12-year-old minor, Zafruddin, 19, of Chhapkaiya, Birgunj Metropolis -2, and Salman Khan, 18, from Nagwa, Birgunj Metropolis- 13 have been arrested by police. According to the police, the fourth person involved in the incident has been absconding.
