President’s office urges return of  looted items

Computers, laptops, printers, scanners, televisions, chairs and other physical assets were looted from the President’s Office during the fire and vandalism incident on September 9.

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: The Office of the President at Sheetal Niwas has requested the public to return items looted during last month’s arson and vandalism.



In a notice issued on Sunday, the office’s Administration and Internal Management Section appealed to anyone who has found or possessed the stolen materials to hand them over.

Computers, laptops, printers, scanners, televisions, chairs and other physical assets were looted from the President’s Office during the fire and vandalism incident on September 9.


The office has asked citizens to report any information or hand over the items either directly to the office or to the nearest security agency.


For details or to return the materials, people can contact Captain Sushmita Thapa at 9841520256 or Nayab Subba Shamser Karki at 9854045678. The office assured that the identities of informants will be kept confidential and urged public cooperation to recover the stolen property.
