This decision was reached during a meeting of opposition parties chaired by Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the parliamentary party leader of the main opposition party, the CPN (Maoist Centre). Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Spokesperson Manish Jha stated that the meeting also decided to seek an all-party commitment to resolve the visit visa issue once and for all.

The opposition parties have concluded that the current Home Minister should resign to facilitate an impartial investigation and to ensure that the probe is not influenced until its conclusion. They have also demanded that the Prime Minister come to parliament, take responsibility for the issue, and express his commitment to addressing it.

According to a representative, the opposition chief whips are participating in the meeting taking place in the Speaker’s chamber with these three key points. The meeting was attended by leaders of the Maoists, RSP and the CPN (Unified Socialist).
