KATHMANDU, July 14: The country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds as the low-pressure line is located near the average position in the east and slightly north of the average position in the west, the Meteorological Forecasting Division (FMD) says.
In the afternoon, the skies will generally be cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at a few places in the remaining provinces.
Heavy rainfall forecast in Bagmati, several provinces
As per the DHM, one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces may experience heavy rainfall. Light to moderate rain or snowfall is also likely at a few places in the high-hilly and mountainous regions.
The weather is forecast to be generally cloudy across the country at night. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and at a few places in the remaining provinces.
One or two places in Koshi and Lumbini provinces may receive heavy rainfall.
Light to moderate rain or snowfall is also likely at a few places in the high-hilly and mountainous regions.
