KATHMANDU, July 7: The country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough situated around its average position.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), scanty to light rain has been recorded at one or two locations in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces on Monday morning.
Heavy rainfall forecast in Bagmati, several provinces
The weather across the country will remain partly to generally cloudy this afternoon. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the hilly regions and at one or two places elsewhere. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light to moderate rainfall or snowfall is expected at a few locations in the high-hill and mountainous regions.
As per the DHM, partly to generally cloudy conditions will continue across the country tonight. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at some places in the hilly regions and at a few other locations.
There is a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light to moderate rain or snowfall is also expected at a few locations in the high-hill and mountainous areas, according to the DHM.
