KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Former Education Minister Raghuji Pant said he and his colleagues spent the day of the Gen-Z demonstrations anxiously hoping no lives would be lost.

Speaking in the Nagarik Frontline, Pant shared that the situation had become so tense they avoided stepping outside. “Our PSOs warned us not to leave. The whole day passed in that state. While we stayed safe, we kept praying no one would lose their life. When we heard of the casualties, it hit us hard,” he said.

Pant also recalled how difficult it was to attend the Cabinet meeting called the same evening. “We received a message about the meeting. But with no option to use the ministerial vehicle, I had to find another way to reach Baluwatar. Even then, most ministers had yet to arrive when I got there,” he said.
