Talks with Teachers' Federation progressing positively: Education Minister Pant

Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Raghuji Pant said the ongoing talks with the Nepal Teachers' Association (NTA) were moving in a positive direction and that the government aims to conclude the talks as soon as possible.

KATHMANDU, April 30: Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Raghuji Pant said the ongoing talks with the Nepal Teachers' Association (NTA) were moving in a positive direction and that the government aims to conclude the talks as soon as possible.

the teachers approached the dialogue with a positive mindset. Minister Pant and the NTA officials held discussions from 8 PM to 10:30 PM. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak also joined the meeting.


President Laxmikishor Subedi led the NTA delegation in the talks. The government resumed talks on Tuesday following another round of positive discussions on Monday.


NTA launched their protest on April 2 to press various demands. Their movement has disrupted teaching and learning in public schools nationwide since the start of the academic session 2082 BS.
