KATHMAND, Aug 17-- Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign currency exchange rates for Sunday. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is set at Rs 139.79 and the selling rate at Rs 140.39.
For one euro, the buying rate is Rs 163.39 and the selling rate Rs 164.09. For one UK pound sterling, the buying rate is Rs 189.57 and the selling rate Rs 190.38. One Swiss franc is set at a buying rate of Rs 173.47 and a selling rate of Rs 174.21.
Forex: USD selling at Rs. 141.53, Euro at Rs. 161.36
The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 91.05 and the selling rate Rs 91.44. For one Canadian dollar, the buying rate is Rs 101.37 and the selling rate Rs 101.80. The Singapore dollar stands at a buying rate of Rs 109.01 and a selling rate of Rs 109.48.
For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 9.51 and the selling rate Rs 9.55. One Chinese yuan has been fixed at a buying rate of Rs 19.47 and a selling rate of Rs 19.56.
The Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 37.26 for buying and Rs 37.42 for selling. One Qatari riyal is Rs 38.35 for buying and Rs 38.52 for selling.
According to the central bank, one Thai baht has been fixed at Rs 4.31 for buying and Rs 4.33 for selling. One UAE dirham is Rs 38.06 for buying and Rs 38.22 for selling.
The Malaysian ringgit is at Rs 33.18 for buying and Rs 33.32 for selling. One hundred South Korean won is Rs 10.07 for buying and Rs 10.11 for selling. The Swedish krona is Rs 14.62 for buying and Rs 14.69 for selling, while the Danish krone is Rs 21.89 for buying and Rs 21.99 for selling.
The Hong Kong dollar is at Rs 17.88 for buying and Rs 17.95 for selling. One Kuwaiti dinar is Rs 457.59 for buying and Rs 459.56 for selling. One Bahraini dinar is Rs 370.77 for buying and Rs 372.36 for selling. The Omani riyal stands at Rs 363.09 for buying and Rs 364.64 for selling.
For Indian currency, Rs 160 has been set as the buying rate for 100 Indian rupees and Rs 160.15 as the selling rate.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also stated that the published exchange rates can be revised at any time if needed.
