Forex Update: USD nears Rs 137, pound sterling approaches Rs 187

The buying rate for the US dollar stands at Rs 136.34, while the selling rate is Rs 136.94. The euro is being bought at Rs 160.58 and sold at Rs 161.29. The British pound sterling is trading at Rs 186.10 for buying and Rs 186.92 for selling.

KATHMANDU, July 6: Nepal Rastra Bank has updated the foreign exchange rates for today, showing minor fluctuations across several major international currencies.



The buying rate for the US dollar stands at Rs 136.34, while the selling rate is Rs 136.94. The euro is being bought at Rs 160.58 and sold at Rs 161.29. The British pound sterling is trading at Rs 186.10 for buying and Rs 186.92 for selling.

The Saudi Arabian riyal is being bought at Rs 36.35 and sold at Rs 36.51. Similarly, the Qatari Riyal is trading at Rs 37.41 for buying and Rs 37.57 for selling. The Omani Riyal stands at Rs 354.13 for buying and Rs 355.69 for selling.


Other notable rates include the Swiss franc at Rs 171.83 (buying) and Rs 172.59 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 100.31 (buying) and Rs 100.75 (selling), and the Chinese yuan at Rs 19.04 (buying) and Rs 19.12 (selling).


Likewise, the Japanese yen (per 10 units) is being bought at Rs 9.45 and sold at Rs 9.49, while the UAE dirham is set at Rs 37.12 (buying) and Rs 37.28 (selling).


These rates are subject to change based on international market fluctuations.
