Euro and Pound Sterling gain; Dollar inches up

The Euro and Pound Sterling strengthened against the Nepali rupee on Thursday, as per the exchange rates published by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).

KATHMANDU, June 26: The Euro and Pound Sterling strengthened against the Nepali rupee on Thursday, as per the exchange rates published by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).



The buying rate for one Euro rose to Rs 159.49, with the selling rate at Rs 160.18, up from Wednesday’s Rs 159.36 and Rs 160.05, respectively.


Similarly, the Pound Sterling climbed to Rs 187 (buying) and Rs 187.82 (selling), compared to Rs 186.91 and Rs 187.73 the previous day.


The US Dollar saw a slight increase, with today’s buying and selling rates at Rs 137.43 and Rs 138.03, up from Rs 137.27 and Rs 137.87 on Wednesday.

The Swiss Franc also appreciated, now trading at Rs 170.36 (buying) and Rs 171.10 (selling), compared to Rs 169.62 and Rs 170.36 a day earlier.


 


In contrast, the Australian Dollar weakened slightly to Rs 89.27 (buying) and Rs 89.66 (selling), down from Rs 89.40 and Rs 89.79.


The Canadian Dollar also edged down to Rs 100.07 (buying) and Rs 100.51 (selling).
