KATHMANDU, July 8: Fifty people trapped in Rasuwa’s Timure area have been rescued so far, after the Bhotekoshi River flooded due to continuous rainfall in neighboring China.
Rasuwa Flood Update: 18 missing, 9 rescued

According to the Rasuwa District Police Office, those rescued till now include 46 men and 4 women. At around 12:50 PM, a joint rescue team from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Army safely evacuated 18 individuals—comprising one Chinese man, 15 Nepali men, and two Nepali women—who were stranded near the dam site of Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project. The rescue was conducted on foot via a suspension bridge.
