KATHMANDU, May 17: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar being traded at a buying rate of Rs 136.52 and a selling rate of Rs 137.12.
According to the rates published by the central bank, the euro is being bought at Rs 152.92 and sold at Rs 153.59, while the UK pound sterling stands at a buying rate of Rs 181.50 and a selling rate of Rs 182.30. Similarly, the Swiss franc is being exchanged at Rs 163.11 for buying and Rs 163.82 for selling.
The Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 87.60 for buying and Rs 87.99 for selling. The Canadian dollar is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 97.77 and a selling rate of Rs 98.20. Likewise, the Singapore dollar is being bought at Rs 105.12 and sold at Rs 105.59.

For other major Asian currencies, the Japanese yen (per 10 units) is bought at Rs 9.38 and sold at Rs 9.42, while the Chinese yuan is traded at Rs 18.95 for buying and Rs 19.03 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is being exchanged at Rs 36.40 (buying) and Rs 36.56 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at Rs 37.46 and Rs 37.62, respectively.
The central bank has also fixed the Thai baht at Rs 4.10 (buying) and Rs 4.12 (selling), and the UAE dirham at Rs 37.17 and Rs 37.33. The Malaysian ringgit is being bought at Rs 31.78 and sold at Rs 31.92. Meanwhile, South Korean won (per 100 units) is traded at Rs 9.78 for buying and Rs 9.82 for selling. The Swedish krona is being exchanged at Rs 13.88 (buying) and Rs 14.05 (selling), and the Danish krone at Rs 20.50 and Rs 20.59, respectively.
According to the rates published by Nepal Rastra Bank, the Hong Kong dollar is being traded at Rs 17.47 for buying and Rs 17.55 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 444.17 (buying) and Rs 446.12 (selling), while the Bahraini dinar is exchanged at Rs 362.15 and Rs 363.74. The Omani riyal has been fixed at Rs 354.62 for buying and Rs 356.18 for selling.
Furthermore, the Indian rupee (per 100 units) is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 160.00 and a selling rate of Rs 160.15. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates are subject to revision at any time as necessary. It also mentioned that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on the central bank's official website.
