US deports 8 Nepali nationals

The chartered flight carrying the Nepalis landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 10 am. The flight arrived in Kathmandu from Portsmouth International Airport in New Hampshire, US.

KATHMANDU, March 5: The United States of America (USA) has deported Nepali citizens who were residing in America illegally.



The USA has brought eight Nepalis living in the US without official documents to Kathmandu and released them.

The chartered flight carrying the Nepalis landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 10 am. The flight arrived in Kathmandu from Portsmouth International Airport in New Hampshire, US.


As per US President Trump's policy of deporting illegal immigrants, these individuals were sent back to Nepal. Prior to this, 27 Nepalis had returned to Kathmandu. However, this is the first incident where the American government has brought them directly to Nepal and released them.
