KATHMANDU, July 19: The Politburo meeting of the CPN-UML is scheduled to continue today (Saturday).
The meeting will take place at 11 am at the party’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur. Chaired by party chairperson and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the meeting began on Friday with the participation of eight members.

According to UML’s Publicity Department Chief Rajendra Gautam, the meeting discussed the reports to be presented at the upcoming Statute General Convention.
As part of the preparations for the convention, the party's Secretariat meeting held on Thursday approved three key reports: the political report by Chairperson Oli, the statute amendment report by Vice-Chairperson Bishnu Prasad Paudel, and the organizational report by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.
Once these reports are endorsed by the Politburo, they will be finalized during the Central Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, July 21.
UML's second Statute General Convention will take place on September 5–7 in Godavari, Lalitpur.
