SAPTARI, Sept 23: Two girls drowned on Tuesday in a pond at Hardiya, Surunga Municipality–2, Saptari.
The victims have been identified as Sushtika Chaudhary, 7, daughter of Surendra Chaudhary, and Ashaki Chaudhary, 11, daughter of Keshar Chaudhary.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jitendra Kumar Basnet at the District Police Office, Saptari, the girls drowned while bathing in the pond.
Basnet said locals informed police about the incident, after which residents helped recover the bodies. Police stated that further investigation is underway.
