Kathmandu, June 26: The country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. Now, there is generally cloudy weather in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the Madhesh province is mostly clear with some partial cloud cover.
Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in a few places of Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
According to the weather forecasting division, there will be partially to generally cloudy weather across the country during the day.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few other regions. In certain areas of the hilly regions in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, there is a likelihood of heavy to hefty rainfall.
The division has predicted light to moderate rainfall or snowfall in a few places of the high, hilly, and Himalayan regions in all provinces.
As previously informed, there is a chance of thunderstorms in certain areas of the Terai region in Koshi Province and some places in Madhesh Province.
The majority of the country will see cloudy to generally cloudy weather tonight. In certain hilly regions of the nation, such as Koshi Province, and in a few locations in the other provinces, there is a chance of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.
