KATHMANDU, July 21: Six major highways across the country have been completely blocked due to floods and landslides following continuous rainfall.

According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, the Koshi Highway in Sankhuwasabha, the Mechi Highway in Panchthar, and the Tamor Corridor road section are entirely obstructed. Similarly, the Kaligandaki Corridor in Nawalparasi East, the Sahid Highway in Rolpa and the Jajarkot-Dolpa Bheri Corridor road section in Rukum West are also fully blocked.


Meanwhile, the road section from Tokha in Kathmandu to Nuwakot, the Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung Municipality, the Mid-Hill Highway in Galkot of Baglung, the Kaligandaki Corridor in Nawalparasi East, and the Sahid Highway in Parivartan Rural Municipality of Rolpa are operating one-way, according to the Nepal Police Headquarters.
