KATHMANDU, June 17:Rainfall-triggered floods and landslides have blocked roads at six locations along various highways, disrupting transportation across the country, according to Nepal Police Spokesperson Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Binod Ghimire.
As per the Nepal Police Headquarters, the Kanti Lokpath road in Bagmati Rural Municipality-3, Chhapeli, Lalitpur, has been blocked since early morning due to a landslide.

Similarly, the Araniko Highway has been obstructed in three places in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchok. Landslides have hit Kodari (Ward 2), Larcha (Ward 3), and Koplang (Ward 2), causing road blockages.
In Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), a flood in the Binayi River swept away a diversion at Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-1, obstructing the East-West Highway.
Likewise, a landslide at Barlaba in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-6, Gulmi, has fully blocked the Kaligandaki Corridor. The Jumla–Mugu road in Jumla has also been shut due to a landslide in Sinja, while the Rabi–Rake–Bhedetar road in Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-5, Dhankuta, has been partially reopened for one-way traffic.
Efforts are underway to clear debris and reopen the obstructed roads, said Nepal Police Headquarters.
