KATHMANDU, Jun 1: Senior musician and singer Ganesh Rasik passed away on Sunday afternoon at Nepal Cancer Hospital in Hattiban, family sources and the Musicians' Association confirmed.

Rasik, 77, had battled cancer for five years. His brother-in-law, Basant Mukarung, said he died around 11 am at the hospital. Musicians' Association president Ashta Lama also confirmed his death. His only daughter will return from the UK before the family conducts the funeral rites. They will keep his body at Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital.
