KATHMANDU, July 8: Remittance inflow increased to Rs 1.532 trillion in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year marking a surge of 15.5 percent as compared to the previous year.
According to the reports unveiled by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on Tuesday, Nepal’s remittance earnings swelled by Rs 176.32 billion in the review period. In the same period last year, the country earned Rs 128.91 billion under the heading.
Remittance inflow increases 27.1 percent in six months

In terms of the US Dollar, remittance inflows increased 12.7 percent to 11.25 billion in the review period compared to an increase of 15.2 percent in the same period last year. The number of Nepali workers including both institutional and individual, taking first-time approval for foreign employment stood at 452,324, while 308,067 individuals took approval for renewal entry.
