‘Presidential Innovista 2025’ concludes, spotlighting student innovations

The ‘Presidential Innovista 2025’ Tech and Business Carnival, hosted by the Presidential Graduate School (PGS) in Thapagaun, concluded on Sunday, spotlighting over 50 innovative projects developed by some 170 BSc IT students.

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: The ‘Presidential Innovista 2025’ Tech and Business Carnival, hosted by the Presidential Graduate School (PGS) in Thapagaun, concluded on Sunday, spotlighting over 50 innovative projects developed by some 170 BSc IT students.



Affiliated with Westcliff University in the US, the PGS presented cutting-edge works in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software and web development, machine learning, robotics, multimedia, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Many concepts focused on practical applications in health, tourism, finance, agriculture, security and entertainment, drawing strong interest from visitors.

The four-day exhibition opened with the symbolic lighting of an electric lamp via a mobile app created by students. Highlights included a ‘Smart Helmet,’ ‘Smart Mirror,’ ‘Smart Irrigation System,’ AI-based health prediction tools, sanitary pad vending machines, football-playing robots, drone delivery systems, stock market prediction software and mobile games.


Dignitaries who visited the event included Health Minister Pradeep Paudel, former education ministers Dr. Gangalal Tuladhar and Shishir Khanal, former minister Dr. Beduram Bhusal, Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa, House committee chair Ambar Bahadur Thapa, MP Dr. Chandra Bhandari, former ambassador Pramesh Hamal, along with national athletes, artists, corporate leaders, and academics. Guests praised the students’ creativity and technical skills.


The PGS’ Executive Chairperson Laxman KC said the exhibition was organized with the aim of bringing out the technical and business potential of the students. According to him, around 170 students were directly involved in developing these 50 projects.


KC said the tech carnival will be held annually, with plans to link promising student projects to potential investors.
