MAKWANPUR, May 3: A collapsing road swallowed a parked vehicle in Hetauda, ​​Makwanpur, on Friday afternoon.



Around 1 pm, an unpaved road at Gairigaun in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-17 suddenly caved in, pulling the vehicle down with it.


According to DSP Shyamu Aryal of the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the vehicle, a fish delivery truck bearing registration number Na 4 Cha 4833, disappeared beneath the surface.

Crews had recently drilled a borewell in the area. The vehicle's driver, Hari Rai, also operated a nearby fish farm.


The driver was using the vehicle to transport fish.


While he was sitting inside on Friday, the front of the truck suddenly began to sink, so he rushed out.


But within seconds, the entire vehicle sank into the ground and disappeared.


"Today, the Chief District Officer and I visited the site and found water had accumulated there," said DSP Shyamu Aryal. "We haven't located the vehicle yet. We're pumping out the water and continuing the search in hopes of finding it."
