KATHMANDU, April 9: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday increased marginally by 9.66 points to close at 2,676.28 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,666.61 points and plunged to as low as 2,673.23 points in the first 15 minutes. In the next half an hour, the index jumped to the day’s high at 2,701.09 points. In the successive period, the market went through a series of fluctuations, while it again fell to 2,672.22 points in the last 23 minutes. The market recovered around four points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.
Nepse plunges 29.89 points to close at 1,966.37 points

Two groups—trading and banking—witnessed falls of 19.11 points and 0.52 points, respectively. Of the 11 gainers, hotels and tourism index gained by the largest of 154.28 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies added 1.44 points. Daily turnover amount declined to Rs 4.48 billion from Rs 5.30 billion on Tuesday.
Among the individual companies, 154 were gainers while 90 were registered as losers. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the biggest turnover of Rs 427.56 million.
Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited had the biggest gain of 9.98 percent of its market price. Sindhu Bikash Bank lost the highest of 7.47 percent.
