KATHMANDU, April 10: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday declined marginally by 5.57 points to close at 2,670.70 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,676.28 points and hit the day’s high at 2,687.56 points in the first 13 minutes of trading. The market however fell to as low as 2,670.47 points in the next one hour, reaching the day’s low at 2,670.25 points with barely 40 minutes of trading time.

Microfinance, among four gaining groups, increased 18.34 points. It was followed by hydropower, development banks and mutual funds. Of the nine losers, the manufacturing and processing index declined by the largest of 62.33 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies slid 0.19 points. Daily turnover amount inclined to Rs 5.63 billion from Rs 4.48 billion on Wednesday.
Among the individual companies, 114 were gainers while 131 registered as losers. Radhi Bidyut Company had the biggest turnover of Rs 359.47 million.
Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited lost the highest of 4.37 percent. By adding 9.98 percent in their market values, Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited and Crest Micro Life Insurance stood as biggest gainers.
