KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday declined 15.64 points to close at 2,726.33 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,741.97 points, first decreased by six points before escalating to the day’s high at 2,749.89 points within the first one hour. However, the market went downhill in the remaining trading period.

Two groups—trading and mutual funds—gained 3.18 points and 0.04 points, respectively. Of the 11 losers, life insurance shed the highest of 72.59 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 2.74 points. The daily turnover increased marginally to Rs 4.72 billion from Rs 4.43 billion on Tuesday.
Among the individual companies, 39 were gainers while 213 were recorded as losers. Union Hydropower Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 338.02 million.
Liberty Energy Company Limited had the biggest fall of 6.99 percent in its market value. Him Star Urja Company Limited by adding 9.99 percent was recorded as the highest gainer.
