NC Prez Deuba calls emergency meeting of party leaders amid Gen Z protests

The meeting is scheduled for 5 PM at party president Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has called an emergency meeting of its party officials on Monday. NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba called the meeting to review the situation following the escalation of Gen Z protests.

The meeting is scheduled for 5 PM at party president Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha. Earlier today, NC General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwoprakash Sharma briefed Deuba on the government’s decision to block social media and the ongoing youth-led demonstrations.
