KATHMANDU, Sept 11: India has started repatriating its citizens stranded in Nepal through special flights.
Amid the ongoing Gen Z protests, many Indian nationals had been stuck in different parts of Nepal. To facilitate their return, the Indian government has arranged additional flights in coordination with Air India and IndiGo Airlines.

The protests, which turned violent earlier this week, forced the closure of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Monday, leaving hundreds of foreign nationals stranded. Following the airport’s reopening on Wednesday, flights carrying citizens of various countries, including India, began departing.
According to India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation, additional flights operated by Air India and IndiGo have been scheduled specifically to bring Indian nationals back home.
