Motorcyclist killed in collision with passenger bus in Jhapa

A man died after a motorcycle and a passenger bus collided along the East-West Highway in Damak-7 on Wednesday evening.

JHAPA, June 5: A man died after a motorcycle and a passenger bus collided along the East-West Highway in Damak-7 on Wednesday evening.



According to Jhapa District Police Office Spokesperson Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, the accident involved a bus (Me 1 Kha 3027) heading toward Kherkha from Damak and a motorcycle (Pra 01-02-052 Pa 2211) coming from the opposite direction. The motorcyclist, Milan Thapa, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Arya Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar, where he died during treatment.

Police have taken the bus driver, Sarakar Tudu of Gauradaha-4, and both vehicles into custody for investigation.
