Pabita was pregnant at the time of the incident. She had been on a ventilator at Ram Janaki Hospital since Friday evening. Doctors performed surgery to save the unborn child, who is currently in stable condition, according to the Hospital’s Director Mithlesh Sah.
Due to domestic disputes, Pabita allegedly mixed poison into a cold beverage and gave it to her three children before consuming it herself. After discovering that she had ingested poison, her family rushed her to the hospital for treatment.
Pabita's maternal side, including her father Ram Chandra Sah, has accused her in-laws of subjecting her to physical and mental abuse, which they claim drove her to take such a step.
