KATHMANDU, July 22: The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies (MoICS) has transferred 31 employees of the Office of the Company Registrar after receiving complaints that they failed to deliver services on time and did not approve files already entered into the automated system.
Those transferred include section officers, assistant clerks (Nayab Subbas), computer operators, and office assistants. Ministry spokesperson Jitendra Basnet confirmed the transfers took place on Monday.
MoICS to continue import ban on 10 items

According to Basnet, the decision was based on the recommendation of an investigation and action committee led by a joint secretary, which was formed following a decision of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on July 11.
The ministry conducted an on-site inspection of the office in response to complaints about services provided through the online company registration system.
The ministerial decision aims to make the office's services more efficient, transparent, and effective, Basnet said. Based on this, a three-member task force led by a joint secretary conducted the field inspection.
The investigation committee has also directed the office to carry out regular monitoring, make systemic improvements, simplify procedures under the Company Act and related laws, and enhance the effectiveness of online service delivery.
