KATHMANDU, May 23: The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has tightened entry restrictions to focus on budget preparation.

Than Prasad Pangyani, chief of the Administration Division, said, "We have completed consultations and gathered suggestions from all relevant parties regarding the budget. We are currently preparing the budget." He added, "We have enforced strict entry controls to ensure the budget preparation proceeds in an organized and planned manner."
Last Baisakh (mid-April to mid-May), the MoF provided easy access to all stakeholders for preparing the fiscal year 2024/25 budget. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will present the budget speech in the Federal Parliament on May 29.
