KATHMANDU, May 25: The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has reached the final stage in preparing publications related to the upcoming budget. According to the MoF, preparations for key budget-related documents for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26, including the Economic Survey, institutional progress reports, and ministry-wise progress details, are in their final phase.
MoF Spokesperson Shyam Prasad Bhandari also stated that the compilation of details related to the mobilization of technical assistance is nearing completion.

The MoF stated that it has nearly completed the preparation of the budget statement, expenditure estimates, Finance Bill, Appropriation Bill, Bill to Raise National Debt, and the Loan and Guarantee Bill.
The MoF has already submitted the principles and priorities for the FY 2025/26 budget to Parliament.
The government will unveil the budget for the upcoming FY 2025/26 this Thursday. MoF Spokesperson Shyam Prasad Bhandari said officials are actively preparing various publications set to be released before, during, and after the budget announcement.
According to the MoF, officials have also started drafting the budget speech that Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel will deliver in Parliament. With just three days remaining, the MoF has started finalizing the speech.
