LAHAN, July 18: A 17-year-old girl from Kanchanpur Municipality-12 Dharampur, Saptari district of Madhesh Province, was gang-raped last Friday.
DSP Deepak Kumar Rai of the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur, said that the victim had fallen prey to the heinous act while sleeping in her own home.

According to the girl's statement, Sudip, Manoj, and Dipesh, under the instructions of Kailash, took turns to rape her after luring her into an adjacent room, police said. After the girl narrated the incident to her family members, a complaint was lodged with the police.
According to DSP Rai, all four people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in raping the minor. "We have arrested all the four people involved in the incident," Rai said, "Further investigation is underway."
The alleged rapists have been identified as Kailash Pokharel, 41, Sudip Bhujel, 24, Manoj Bishwokarma, 22, and Dipesh Subedi, 21. All are the residents of the same ward.
