Maoist conflict-era case files at SC destroyed during recent Gen-Z protests

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Important case files from the Maoist conflict era were destroyed during the recent Gen-Z protest, according to a court employee.

Files concerning homicide cases against Maoist leaders during the conflict period were also lost. Case files and documents at the Supreme Court, Kathmandu District Court, and Kaski Court have been reduced to ashes, the official added.


Employees reported that those carrying out the destruction had prior knowledge of which sections to attack. They specifically targeted and set fire to files in designated sections.
