Dhawal Shamsher Rana, the coordinator of the Joint People's Movement Mobilization and General Secretary of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), said the movement's destination is near.

On Sunday, he addressed leaders, activists, and well-wishers at the district court premises, saying, "Don't worry, the destination is near. I'm fine. Please tell everyone."

The police took Rana, along with the member secretary of the Joint People's Movement Committee and others, to the district court to seek an extension of their custody for further investigation.

The police are investigating the leaders they arrested during the movement.

Mishra and Rana Stand Firm: Reject Hospital Stay, Continue Protest from Custody

Dr Dhawal Shamsher Rana and Rabindra Mishra, leaders of the movement for the reinstatement of monarchy, have rejected hospital facilities despite health issues, vowing to continue their protest from custody.

During a hearing at the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday, they took this stance. "I will not accept hospital facilities offered for health issues," said Rabindra Mishra, Vice Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and Member Secretary of the Joint People's Movement Mobilization Committee.

Movement coordinator Rana added, "If the state wants to take my life, so be it. I will not abandon Mishra. I will fight while staying in custody."

Mishra, who suffers from high blood pressure, and Rana, who is battling cancer, had their lawyers request hospital care. However, after the refusal of both leaders their lawyers withdrew the request. Rana was scheduled for a follow-up cancer check-up in India on April 28.

"We were not involved in arson, looting, shooting, or firing tear gas. The government suppressed a peaceful protest and incited the crowd," they stated in court.
