Forex Update: US dollar remains stable

According to the central bank, the exchange rate of the US dollar has remained unchanged.

KATHMANDU, July 21: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Monday. According to the central bank, the exchange rate of the US dollar has remained unchanged. The buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 137.54 and the selling rate at Rs 138.14.



The buying rate of one European Euro is Rs 159.90 and the selling rate is Rs 160.60. Similarly, the buying rate of one UK Pound Sterling is Rs 184.42 and the selling rate is Rs 185.23. The buying rate of one Swiss Franc is Rs 171.61, while the selling rate is Rs 172.36.

The buying and selling rates of one Australian Dollar are Rs 89.54 and Rs 89.93, respectively. One Canadian Dollar is being bought at Rs 100.22 and sold at Rs 100.66. The buying and selling rates of one Singapore Dollar are Rs 107 and Rs 107.47, respectively.


The buying rate of 10 Japanese Yen is Rs 9.24 and the selling rate is Rs 9.28. The buying and selling rates of one Chinese Yuan are Rs 19.16 and Rs 19.25, respectively. One Saudi Arabian Riyal is being bought at Rs 36.67 and sold at Rs 36.83. Similarly, one Qatari Riyal is being bought at Rs 37.73 and sold at Rs 37.90.


According to the NRB, one Thai Baht is being bought at Rs 4.25 and sold at Rs 4.27. One UAE Dirham is being bought at Rs 37.45 and sold at Rs 37.61. One Malaysian Ringgit is being bought at Rs 32.39 and sold at Rs 32.53. The buying and selling rates of 100 South Korean Won are Rs 9.89 and Rs 9.93, respectively. One Swedish Kroner is being bought at Rs 14.23 and sold at Rs 14.29, while one Danish Kroner is being bought at Rs 21.42 and sold at Rs 21.51.


The central bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong Dollar at Rs 17.53 and the selling rate at Rs 17.60. The buying rate of one Kuwaiti Dinar is Rs 449.83 and the selling rate is Rs 451.79. One Bahraini Dinar is being bought at Rs 364.83 and sold at Rs 366.42. The buying and selling rates of one Omani Riyal are Rs 357.24 and Rs 358.80, respectively.


The buying rate of 100 Indian Rupees is Rs 160, and the selling rate is Rs 160.15. The central bank has stated that these rates can be revised at any time as required. It also noted that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ and the updated rates are available on the central bank's website.
