Forex Update: US dollar rate decreases

According to the NRB, the US dollar rate has decreased.

KATHMANDU, July 11: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today (Friday). According to the NRB, the US dollar rate has decreased. The buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 136.72 and the selling rate is Rs 137.32 today, while the buying rate for one US dollar was 136.78 and the selling rate was 137.38 on Thursday.



The buying rate for one euro is Rs 160.22, and the selling rate is Rs 160.92. Similarly, one UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 185.75 for buying and Rs 186.56 for selling. The buying and selling rates for the Swiss franc are Rs 171.96 and Rs 172.72, respectively.


The Australian dollar stands at Rs 89.71 (buying) and Rs 90.10 (selling), while the Canadian dollar is being traded at Rs 99.98 (buying) and Rs 100.42 (selling). The Singapore dollar has a buying rate of Rs 106.86 and a selling rate of Rs 107.33.

For other major currencies, the Japanese yen (per 10 units) is Rs 9.35 (buying) and Rs 9.39 (selling), and the Chinese yuan is Rs 19.06 (buying) and Rs 19.14 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 36.45 for buying and Rs 36.61 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is at Rs 37.51 (buying) and Rs 37.67 (selling).


The Thai baht is being exchanged at Rs 4.20 (buying) and Rs 4.22 (selling), and the UAE dirham is Rs 37.22 (buying) and Rs 37.39 (selling). The Malaysian ringgit’s buying and selling rates are Rs 32.19 and Rs 32.33, respectively. The South Korean won (per 100 units) is Rs 9.96 (buying) and Rs 10.01 (selling).


Among other currencies, the Swedish kroner is Rs 14.38 (buying) and Rs 14.44 (selling), and the Danish kroner is Rs 21.47 (buying) and Rs 21.57 (selling). The Hong Kong dollar is being traded at Rs 17.42 (buying) and Rs 17.49 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 447.50 (buying) and Rs 449.46 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 362.66 (buying) and Rs 364.25 (selling), and the Omani riyal at Rs 355.14 (buying) and Rs 356.70 (selling).


The Indian Rupee is being exchanged at Rs 160.00 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling) per 100 units.


The NRB has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. Commercial banks may offer different rates, and the most up-to-date exchange rates are available on the central bank's official website.
