KATHMANDU, July 10: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for today (Thursday). According to the NRB, the US dollar rate has decreased. The buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 136.78 today, while the selling rate is Rs 137.38. In contrast, the buying rate for one US dollar was set at Rs 136.82, and the selling rate was set at Rs 137.42 on Wednesday.
The buying and selling rates for one euro are Rs 160.08 and Rs 160.78, respectively, while one pound sterling is bought at Rs 185.84 and sold at Rs 186.66. Similarly, the Swiss franc stands at Rs 171.68 for buying and Rs 172.44 for selling.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced

For other major currencies, the Australian dollar is being traded at Rs 89.22 (buying) and Rs 89.61 (selling), and the Canadian dollar at Rs 99.86 (buying) and Rs 100.30 (selling). The Singapore dollar has been set at RS 107.76 for buying and RS 107.23 for selling. Ten units of Japanese yen are being bought at Rs 9.33 and sold at Rs 9.37, while one Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 19.05 (buying) and Rs 19.13 (selling).
Among the Gulf currencies, one Saudi riyal is being bought at Rs 36.47 and sold at Rs 36.63, while one Qatari riyal is priced at Rs 37.53 for buying and Rs 37.69 for selling. The UAE dirham stands at RS 37.24 (buying) and RS 37.40 (selling). High-value currencies like the Kuwaiti dinar are being bought at Rs 447.86 and sold at Rs 449.82, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 362.85 (buying) and Rs 364.45 (selling), and the Omani rial at Rs 355.28 (buying) and Rs 356.84 (selling).
In addition, one Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.18 (buying) and Rs 4.20 (selling), one Malaysian ringgit at Rs 32.18 (buying) and Rs 32.32 (selling), and 100 units of South Korean won at Rs 9.54 (buying) and Rs 9.58 (selling). The Swedish krona is being traded at Rs 14.35 (buying) and Rs 14.41 (selling), and the Danish krone at Rs 21.45 (buying) and Rs 21.55 (selling). One Hong Kong dollar is priced at RS 17.42 for buying and RS 17.50 for selling. For the Indian currency, the buying rate for INR 100 is set at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.
The NRB has stated that these exchange rates may be revised as needed, and rates set by commercial banks may differ. The updated rates are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
