KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The “Complaint Emailbox” system launched by Finance Minister Rameshore Khanal to directly receive and address public grievances has already shown promising results.
Minister Khanal shared on Tuesday that within just six hours of launching the system, he had received 166 emails. He said the initiative is designed to eliminate the need for citizens to rush to Singha Durbar in person to resolve their issues.
Official email to be mandatory for civil servants soon

Minister Khanal announced the update on social media, noting that the total included emails sent to both the Ministry of Finance’s complaint mailbox and his official email. “Among the emails received, I have already responded to about two dozen, and action has been initiated in most cases,” Khanal wrote. “The remaining emails will also be addressed as quickly as possible.”
Khanal expressed confidence that the mechanism will reduce the hassle for the general public and various institutions of having to visit Singha Durbar personally to get their concerns resolved.
