According to the initial posting list, the police had assigned Om Bahadur Rana to the CIAA. However, since DIG Shrestha is currently leading an investigation into the misuse of visit visas, the police decided to keep him at the CIAA and sent Rana to the Valley Police Office instead.

DIG Shrestha had also served at the CIAA during his tenure as an SSP.
