KATHMANDU, July 15: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) 34.46 points to close at 2,760.17 points on Tuesday.
The secondary market opened at 2,725.71 points and added around 18 points in the first 13 minutes before declining to as low as 2,727.56 points within the first one hour. In the remaining three hours, the index increased gradually and recovered around 33 points before the market closed for the day.

Except mutual funds, all the 12 groups were the gainers. Non-life insurance and life insurance were the highest in the row, by adding 95.54 points and 90.01 points respectively.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies surged 7.04 points. The daily turnover amount stood at Rs 9.41 billion, up from Rs 8.17 billion from Monday.
Among the individual companies, 209 were gainers while 39 were recorded as the losers. Butwal Power Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 523.26 million.
Super Madi Hydropower Limited, by adding 8.08 percent, was the topmost gainer. Bhagawati Hydropower Development Company Limited lost the largest of 4.64 percent.
