KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Local authorities in Rupandehi have imposed a curfew in the district following escalation of Gen Z protests.
The District Administration Office, Rupandehi, issued the curfew from 4 PM to 10 PM on Monday, covering areas in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, Tilottama and Siddharthnagar Municipality, as well as main highways.

The District Administration Office has issued a curfew in Rupandehi, defining its boundaries as follows: in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, from Butwal Dhago Factory in the east to Belbas Chowk in the west and up to Chidiya Khola in the north; in Tilottama Municipality, up to Mangalapur in the south and in Siddharthnagar Municipality, from Rohini Khola Bridge in the east to Bethari Bridge in the west, Buddha Chowk in the north and Meudihwa along with a 100-meter stretch on the Butwal-Belhiya road in the south.
Authorities have directed residents to avoid movement, gatherings, rallies, demonstrations, meetings, sit-ins or any other public activities within the curfew zones.
