KATHMANDU, May 12: The 2,569th Buddha Jayanti and the Kirat community's festival, Ubhauli, have attracted a crowd of devotees since early morning.
On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, rare relics of Buddha, including the precious relic of Buddha's body, along with Kasyapa Buddha and the Swayambhu Mahachaitya, have been displayed for public viewing at Boudhanath.

Every year, Buddha Jayanti is celebrated on the full moon day of the month of Baisakh. Buddha Jayanti is grandly observed at places like Lumbini, Kapilvastu, Boudhanath, and Swayambhu.
