The NA stated that essential services, including ambulances, hearses, fire engines, and vehicles carrying health professionals and security personnel, will be allowed to operate during the restrictions. It urged the public to coordinate with nearby security personnel when necessary.
While expressing sorrow over casualties and property damage caused by recent protests, the NA warned that despite restrictions, unruly groups have engaged in vandalism, arson, looting, violent assaults and attempted sexual violence. It stressed that any such acts carried out in the name of demonstrations will be treated as punishable crimes and met with strict action.
The NA added that discussions among concerned parties are underway to address post-protest challenges and restore normalcy. It also called on citizens, journalists and retired personnel not to follow rumors but to rely only on official information. Emphasizing the importance of national unity and social harmony, the NA reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and providing humanitarian assistance under all circumstances.
