KATHMANDU, June 27: The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Board (KFVDB) has released the updated wholesale prices of agricultural produce for today.
According to the KFVDV, the maximum wholesale prices for major vegetables are as follows: Large local tomatoes at Rs 75/kg, small local tomatoes at Rs 35/kg, small tunnel tomatoes at Rs 48/kg, red potatoes at Rs 46/kg, Indian red potatoes at Rs 40/kg, red potatoes (Mude) at Rs 39/kg, and white potatoes at Rs 35/kg. Dry Indian onions are priced at Rs 50/kg, local carrots at Rs 80/kg, Terai carrots at Rs 50/kg, and local cabbage at Rs 30/kg.
Other notable vegetable prices include: local cauliflower at Rs 80/kg, red radish at Rs 40/kg, local white radish at Rs 35/kg, hybrid white radish at Rs 25/kg, long brinjal at Rs 20/kg, round brinjal at Rs 40/kg, green beans at Rs 45/kg, and corn beans at Rs 60/kg.
Farmers not getting right price for vegetables

Peas are priced at Rs 190/kg, local lima beans at Rs 60/kg, hybrid lima beans at Rs 40/kg, rajma beans at Rs 110/kg, tate simi at Rs 70/kg, soybean pods at Rs 140/kg, bitter gourd at Rs 35/kg, bottle gourd at Rs 35/kg, local pointed gourd at Rs 40/kg, Terai pointed gourd at Rs 40/kg, sponge gourd at Rs 30/kg, ridge gourd at Rs 55/kg, zucchini at Rs 55/kg, ripe pumpkin at Rs 45/kg, green long pumpkin at Rs 35/kg, green round pumpkin at Rs 35/kg, and okra at Rs 45/kg.
Sweet potatoes are at Rs 70/kg, yam at Rs 80/kg, squash at Rs 50/kg, mustard greens at Rs 70/kg, spinach at Rs 60/kg, chamsoor greens at Rs 40/kg, mustard leaves at Rs 40/kg, fenugreek leaves at Rs 80/kg, green onions at Rs 100/kg, button mushrooms at Rs 190/kg, large mushrooms at Rs 350/kg, asparagus at Rs 275/kg, and fiddlehead ferns at Rs 40/kg.
Additional produce prices include broccoli at Rs 80/kg, beetroot at Rs 70/kg, drumsticks at Rs 170/kg, red cabbage at Rs 100/kg, Jiri greens at Rs 100/kg, kohlrabi at Rs 70/kg, celery at Rs 120/kg, parsley at Rs 650/kg, fennel greens at Rs 120/kg, mint at Rs 140/kg, tamarind at Rs 170/kg, bamboo shoots at Rs 120/kg, tofu at Rs 140/kg, and gundruk (fermented leafy greens) at Rs 350/kg.
Among fruits, apple (Jhule) is priced at Rs 250/kg, Fuji apple at Rs 330/kg, bananas at Rs 140/dozen, lemon at Rs 130/kg, pomegranate at Rs 350/kg, mango (Malda) at Rs 95/kg, mango (Dashahari) at Rs 110/kg, green grapes at Rs 250/kg, oranges at Rs 200/kg, junar at Rs 250/kg, jackfruit (whole) at Rs 170/piece, local cucumber at Rs 70/kg, hybrid cucumber at Rs 18/kg, ripe jackfruit at Rs 60/kg, Chinese pear at Rs 260/kg, Nepali guava at Rs 70/kg, Indian guava at Rs 100/kg, and local lychee at Rs 270/kg.
Among spices and additional items: ginger is at Rs 110/kg, dried red chili at Rs 420/kg, green chili at Rs 40/kg, bullet green chili at Rs 30/kg, Akbare chili at Rs 350/kg, Bhende chili at Rs 110/kg, coriander leaves at Rs 80/kg, dried Chinese garlic at Rs 200/kg, dried Nepali garlic at Rs 170/kg, dried Sichuan pepper at Rs 200/kg, fresh Sichuan pepper at Rs 120/kg, fresh Rohu fish at Rs 330/kg, Bachuwa fish at Rs 320/kg, Chhadi fish at Rs 240/kg, King oyster mushroom at Rs 300/kg, and Shiitake mushroom at Rs 900/kg.
