KATHMANDU, June 6: Westerly and local winds currently influence the western and central parts of the country, while monsoon winds affect most areas of Koshi Province, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) reports.
This afternoon, clouds will partly cover Koshi Province and the country's hilly regions, while the rest of the country will enjoy mostly clear skies. Some areas of Koshi Province and a few hilly regions in other provinces may experience light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning. Light rain and snowfall could also occur in some high-hill and mountainous areas.
Weather today to remain generally clear
Tonight, clouds will partially cover Koshi Province and the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear. Some areas of Koshi Province and a few hilly areas in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces may experience light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning.
The DHM also forecasts light rain and snowfall in one or two places in the hill and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
