KATHMANDU, Aug 22: At the cordial invitation of Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, is paying an official visit to Nepal from August 23 to 25.
The visit marks the first-ever highest-level engagement from Vietnam to Nepal.

During the visit, the two Vice-Presidents will lead their respective delegations at the Nepal-Vietnam bilateral meeting scheduled for August 24 in Kathmandu. In addition, Vice President Madam Xuan will call on and hold courtesy meetings with high dignitaries of Nepal, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This year holds a special significance as it marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan will depart Kathmandu for Hanoi on August 25.
