Vehicles plying without route permits

KOHALPUR, Jan 24: Public buses are travelling from Nepalgunj of Banke district toward Midwestern region without route permits. Similarly, public vehicles from other parts of the districts such as Bagoida, Baijapur, Sitapur, have continued to use the route without permit.

KOHALPUR, Jan 24: Public buses are travelling from Nepalgunj of Banke district toward Midwestern region without route permits. Similarly, public vehicles from other parts of the districts such as Bagoida, Baijapur, Sitapur, have continued to use the route without permit. 



Although a 1993 law strictly prohibits operation of vehicles without route permits, drivers have been flouting the rule.

According to Bheri zonal chapter of the Federation of Nepal National Transport Entrepreneurs Association, many public vehicles are plying the Mugu, Rimna, Chinabagar, Chaurajahari and Maharani among other routes without route permits. 


A driver operating without route permit could lose his driving license and be liable for a fine of Rs 1,000.
